Leitrim County Council is responsible for the administrative area of County Leitrim. The Council delivers a wide range of local authority services including housing, planning and development, environmental, roads and road safety etc. which are necessary to the physical, economic, social and cultural life of the county. The Chief Executive will lead in developing and overseeing the organisational structures and resources needed to deliver an extensive range of services to the public. The successful candidate will have: • significant senior management experience with a successful track record in leadership and management in either the public or private sector; • a proven track record in developing and implementing strategy in a changing and fast moving environment; • excellent stakeholder management, influencing and communication skills; • the motivation to develop and optimise the performance and contribution of local government to achieve the greatest benefit for the citizens of the county.
