Candidates are required to have the following: Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons for the above vacancy, which is available from January 2018. The role includes promotion and support of health by means of sound nutritional advice and/or nutritional intervention within A Nursing Home / Hospital setting. The successful candidate will be responsible for: Assessing the nutritional status of each patient referred, estimating individual nutritional requirements, and devising, monitoring and reviewing individualized care plans as appropriate. He/she will educate relatives or carers on the relevant aspects of the patient’s nutritional support or therapeutic diet as well as assisting the Dietitian Manager in developing educational materials and resources for individual patients and patient groups. The candidate must, on the latest date for receiving completed application forms for the office, possess: B.Sc. Degree in Human Nutrition & Dietetics. Or Diploma in Nutrition & Dietetics. Or Qualification in Dietetics at least equivalent to the above. Be CORU Registered. Have fluent written and spoken English and excellent report writing skills. * Candidates qualified outside the Republic of Ireland for the above posts must have their qualifications validated by the Department of Health or relevant body prior to interview stage.
